The Theme

From looking at the groups blogs, we have started to put together a theme for our images. Looking at the photography and type of styling and the make up and hair ideas we like,  we have decided to to create 5 images with 5 different looks.

We are going to do 5 head shots all containing a different theme. We are looking at different era's such as Elizabethan, Victorian, Tudor etc. We are going to make this more fashion forward in the styling of hair and make up and the accessories we will be selecting. We are updating the look using bright and modern make up styles.

Here is some of the research I have started to compile to help with the themes:

Victorian

I like the hair styling on these images, they have a Victorian feel but could be modernised easily.

Here I ahave shown some images from the Victorian era, I liked how they all have hair accessories which will enable to to find ways in styling the images to help with the theme.

Elizabethan

I love this image, although is is very simple, it has an Elizabethan style but has been modernised with the modern make up. I like how close up the shot is and how the background is plain so the main focus is the model.

This is taken from the 2007 McQueen show, it is more typically Elizabethan with the more plain make up, but the volume of the hair bring it more up to trend. 

This is obviously taken from the Elizabethan period, from this we'll be able to see the styling from the plain hair styles and the elaborate accessories such as the collar on this dress.

This is a modernised version of the other image, I think this is good to look at for inspiration as they have modernised the look with deep red lips and shaved hair, obviously we would not be doing anything as dramatic as this, but it shows how newer styles can be used to add a more modern twist.
