Marie Antoinette

I have looked at the film Marie Antionette as inpiration, this film captures the style of the Elizabethan period, but uses more vibrant colours in the film to give it a more modern twist.

I like the bright pink blush in the make up and the flowers in the hair, it gives it a more youthful look.

I like the hair accessories here, it adds colour to the styling. I also like the lace mask although it would detract from the make up.

The colours they chose for the film and very vivid, such as this fuschia pink and the sky blue dress. It helps add to the modern twist of the film.

Here are some images of Marie Antionette from the Elizabethan perios, you can clearly see where the inspiration has come from but how they have modernised it for the film.

Blue was clearly a very popular colour around the period so this is something we could take into consideration with our styling.

  1. Marie Antoinette isn't Elizabethan, she was from the Elightenment era, or simply of the French Revolution.
