Sourcing And Styling

After myself and Fay went shopping for the shoot in Preston, we thought it be best to try on the garments and begin styling prior to the shoot so that we were prepared on the day and we could make any alteration prior to the shoot.

The model we used to try on the garments was not the model we have for the shoot and she is conciderably smaller than the model we have so the outfits could look very different on the model, but this was giving us an inital idea:

Here we added another patterned shirt underneath the dress but we didnt think it worked as well. I suggested using a stripe tee-shirt underneath but tighter fitting so tat is would be more structural and flattering.

I really like this outsit, I think the patterns and colours work really well together and I think it could look like an actual outfit for an editorial.

Here we tried both the jacket open and closed, I think it looks better open but then that could leave the model feeling concious and uncomfortable so that may be something that needs to be adressed on the shoot.

We liked the use of sequins as this will pick up light and also gives the outfits a little more texture.

I think this outfit will look great on the model as the pants are a mixture of elastic and leather and they will be tighter fitting and more cropped on her. Also the top is meant to be a cropped top and so this wil show better on the model too.

These are not all the outfits we have sourced but others we ahve put together and are features on Fays blog as they were from her wardrobe. I have also contributed an oversized black cotton shirt and long fringed neckalce and also made a layered chain necklace.
